Aerodrome Hotel

The 'Aerodrome Hotel' has been situated at two different sites. The first as in the picture (below) was on the old 'Waddon Aerodrome' with entrance from Plough Lane.

The second 'Aerodrome Hotel' (below) picture taken December 1927. Was on the same old area of 'Waddon Aerodrome', not on Purley Way.

The new Aerodrome Hotel and the terminal buildings were built in the neo-classical geometrical design. This new building on Purley Way, was completed in 1928 and survives as the independent Hallmark Hotel.
