 Airways Aero Associations Ltd

 (the company controlling the 'Airways Aero Club')

 The company was formed in 1947 and began operation in 1948. They moved from Denham to Croydon in early 1953 with five 'Auster Aiglet Trainer's'. They paid for the approval of ex RAF Chipmunks to be civilianised and made safe, and began adding to the fleet. By 1959 the club had added 8 Chipmunks, 2 Aiglet's, a Consul and a Proctor. The Ass'n had many training schemes for both private and commercial licences which included training pilots since 1950 for for both BOAC and BEA and later Lufthansa from 1953.
