North Side. Tramway overhead wires 30ft high.
North - East Side. 60ft high chimneys and aerodrome buildings.
East Side. Control tower surmounted by radio mast 105ft high and other 24ft high masts.
100yds South-East of compass base at 200yds distance is a waterworks with a 75ft high chimney.
South Side. A group of 170ft trees and 200ft spire, 815yds and 930yds respectively.
South of the South-West Corner are a second group of 170ft trees.
West Side. 34ft radio beacon mast, 65ft high trees South of the Lorenz main marker beacon. 18ft high wooden structure 50yds West of No4 Floodlight.
North-Northwest Side. 20ft high building 300yds from No5 Floodlight.

 Note

 During foggy weather when visibility is less than 100yds and no aircraft are expected, a 6ft diameter meteorological balloon may be flown from a point near the control tower to a height of 1300ft. The thick-line cable will be marked with streamers.
